Calm Health, a clinical mental health platform powered by meditation app Calm, is partnering with LifeStance Health to guide its users with higher-acuity mental healthcare needs to a hybrid behavioral health specialist.
LifeStance Health offers psychiatry for adults and children, therapy services, psychiatric medication management, neuropsychological testing and evaluation, psychological testing and evaluation, and specialty treatments.
Calm Health works with employers and health plans to offer support for mental and physical conditions, including mental health screenings to identify the symptoms and severity of anxiety and depression.
Through the partnership, Calm Health users in need of high-acuity treatment can be guided to LifeStance through the Calm Health app.
Calm Health users will complete a mental health screening and onboarding questionnaire and, based on the results, will be recommended a personalized plan that can range from mindfulness to digital clinical programs for specific conditions.
A referral to LifeStance will now be an option for Calm Health users who are determined to require more direct clinical care.
"Even with more mental health resources available than ever, people are still left to navigate a confusing and crowded landscape on their own," Chris Carey, SVP and general manager of Calm Health, said in a statement.
"At Calm, our mission is to support people at every step of their mental health journey, including helping them find trusted resources faster, removing barriers to care and ultimately driving positive health outcomes. Adding LifeStance as a trusted mental health care resource helps us deliver on this mission by connecting members to high-quality care more quickly and confidently."
