Alleviate Health, an AI-enabled patient recruitment company for clinical trials, has launched with a $4.3 million seed funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz alongside other investors.
WHAT IT DOES
The North Carolina-based company offers human-in-the-loop AI agents that screen patients for clinical trial participation, including engaging with patients 24/7 via SMS and voice. The company also helps verify eligibility as well as book visits and calls.
"As the teams on the ground drive trials forward, research sites need modern tools, purpose-built to turn interest into enrolled patients," Jay Rughani, investing partner at Andreessen Horowitz, said in a statement. "Alleviate gives research teams immense leverage – streamlining operations while improving the patient experience."
