TigerConnect launched a cloud-native operator console designed to replace legacy hospital switchboard systems and improve how healthcare organizations manage calls, critical alerts and communication workflows.
The platform centralizes operator functions into a single interface, helping hospitals manage call routing, code activations and facility alarms more efficiently while reducing reliance on fragmented, on-premise infrastructure.
Hospital operators traditionally rely on disconnected systems that can slow response times and increase the risk of communication errors during routine operations and emergency situations.
"Legacy hospital switchboards are often decades old and require operators to toggle between fragmented systems on multiple screens for calls, alarms, code activations, EHR and scheduling," Saurin Shah, chief product officer at TigerConnect, told MobiHealthNews. "That slows response times and increases the risk of error, especially during critical events."
Shah said TigerConnect's console addresses these limitations by providing real-time visibility into call queues, event status and contact information through a unified dashboard.
Features such as intelligent search capabilities and automated workflows enable operators to route calls and manage critical events more quickly and accurately.
The platform is designed to integrate with existing hospital technologies, including electronic health records, telephony systems, physician scheduling tools and secure messaging platforms.
"By consolidating essential operator capabilities into a single cloud-based ecosystem, it reduces information and data silos, streamlines coordination and enables scalable integration across both clinical and operational systems," Shah said.
Because the console is cloud-native, hospitals can eliminate on-premise switchboard hardware and infrastructure.
The architecture also supports scalability, allowing organizations to expand communication capabilities without requiring additional on-site infrastructure.
The operator console is part of TigerConnect's broader communication orchestration platform, which integrates clinical collaboration, scheduling, alarm management and patient communication tools.
The company also introduced 21 features as part of its latest product release, expanding its focus on AI-driven automation, communication coordination and real-time operational visibility.

The launch reflects a broader shift across healthcare toward cloud-based communication platforms that improve responsiveness, streamline workflows and support more integrated care delivery environments.
