Ozcare, a non-profit health and community services provider in Queensland, has launched a new system designed to improve care by sending alerts and other notifications to nurses carrying mobile devices.The Amcom Fusion mobile event notification software was implemented at Ozcare to improve response times to patient requests and safety concerns. Ozcare officials said the middleware sends alerts from the nurse call system and fire panel directly to a staff member carrying a wireless phone.
